Kit 1

Booklet QR Code

On page 2, the QR code is all good, but the Bitly link took a wrong turn. The correct link is https://bit.ly/RoadtripMember -- be sure to follow that for all the crochet goodness!

Page 6, Stripe 1, Row 8

Instead of “hdc in last st, turn,” it should read “sc in last st, turn.”

Block 1

The instruction heading for Rnd 5 should be bold.

Color A

We’ve had some members report that they’ve run short of Color A while working future parts of this blanket. If you’re running short, please reach out to our customer service at support@jimmybeanswool.mom for options (we can help you order an additional skein or help by sending you a bit more if you only need a little amount).

Kit 2

Stripe 4

Pebble Stitch should read:

Row 1 (RS): Join color B in first st, ch 1 (see Pattern Notes), working in blo across, sc in first sc and in each sc across, turn. (84 sc)

Stripe 4 - Additional Help

We had some members who had this same question: “I don’t se
e how you can end the row on a SC if you are supposed to have 83 stitches.” Aimée helped break this down for us.

Row 1 (RS): Join Color B in first st, ch 1, working in BLO across, sc in first st and in each st across, turn. (84 sts)
No notes here. Work as written.

Row 2 (WS): Ch 1, sc in first st, sk 1 st, [Pebble (see Special Stitches) in next st, sc in next st] across, turn. (83 sts)

If we break this one down in numbers, we start with 84 sts.
Sc in the first stitch - that’s 1 st used (83 sts remaining).

Sk 1 st - that’s 2 sts used (82 sts remaining).

The repeat is a 2 stitch repeat of [Pebble in next st, sc in next st]. Since we have 82 sts remaining, we can work the repeat evenly across, and the last st is a sc.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first st and in each st across, turn. (We still have 83 sts here.)

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each of first 2 sts - 2 sts used (81 sts remaining).

pebble in next st - 1 st used (80 sts remaining).

[sc in next st, pebble in next st] across to last 2 sts, (this is another 2-stitch repeat and we work that till there are 2 sts left in the row; the last st we work before those last 2 sts is a Pebble - 2 sts remaining).

sc in next st, (1 st used; 1 st remaining).

2 sc in last st. (1 st used, 2 sts created; 84 sts total made).

Cluster

The cluster in the booklet is for Block 4 only! The cluster referred to in Stripe 4 should be a Pebble stitch and is as follows:

Pebble Stitch (pebble): [Yo, insert hook into indicated st, draw up a lp] 3 times, yo and draw through all 7 lps on hook.

Kit 3

Pattern Booklet

If you received Kit 3 back in March 2025, you might’ve noticed your booklet decided to take the scenic route. While it was making its grand entrance, we sent a one-page pattern preview to tide you over until the real star arrived in April 2025.

Still waiting on your Kit 3 booklet? No worries! Our friendly customer service team has your back—just shoot us a message at support@jimmybeanswool.mom and we’ll get it sorted faster than you can say “yarn chicken.”

Block 3, Rnd 5

A member asked if the stitches were correct because we skip a dc on one end after a corner, and we don’t skip a dc before the next corner. Here’s Aimée’s answer and advice.

I checked this out on my block, and it’s correct so we get to the stitch count Lena wants for when we connect the blocks later on.

Now…If the symmetry of stitches on each end before and after the corners bothers you a ton, I have a little something that may help some.

Instead of skipping that first dc, you can dc2tog blo over the first two dcs. That way, you have a dc above each st and the correct stitch count, too.

Stripe 5

Stripe 5 should say "With Color C."

Many members report that this is a tricky stripe for them but Aimée has some great tips and tricks to share!! Here’s the advice she gave another member who was struggling with getting the correct stitch count of 105 stitches.

Before we start this stripe, we should have 83 sts.

Row 1: Be super careful here with the repeats. It's very easy to add/omit an increased stitch. The repeat is (sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st; sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st). This uses 7 stitches to work over, and you'll be increasing 2 sts with each repeat. The repeat is worked 11 times total, and the end stitch count is 105.

Something that may help with this row...

I'm always a big fan of marking stitch repeats when I'm struggling with stitch counts. It sometimes takes a lot of markers but it's always worth it.

Here's where I'd put the markers before working Row 1:

  • Mark the 1st st (that's where we're starting, and we know that we have to place one sc there).
  • Mark the 7th stitch after that first stitch (which should be the 8th st of the row; this is where the first repeat should end).
  • After marking that 8th st, mark every 7th st after that (since our repeat is 7 sts). After you place the marker in the last full repeat, you should have 5 sts to the end if of the row.
  • Mark the last st of the row (this way, you know that you have the very first and very last stitch that you should work in marked.

Give that a go and see if it helps get you to the right stitch count.

And additionally, my advice for Rows 2-4:

I marked the first st of the beginning of every 5-st short row. This really helped me when I worked each row. When I was doing the short row parts, it helped me identify which stitch NOT to work into, and then when I was working the next row, it helped me identify the LAST stitch worked into for that row's short rows.

Special Stitches: hdc-dec

You know that hdc-dec that’s in the Special Stitches?  It says there will be 3 lps on the hook. The stitch definition is right on, but there will be 5 lps on the hook!  So sorry for dropping a couple of lps!

Kit 5

Block 6

We’ve got a quick heads-up about Kit 5 of your Crochet Blanket Club: a few mischievous pattern gremlins snuck into the instructions for Block 6. While the heading and photos are correct, the written instructions accidentally repeated content from last month’s kit (oops!).

But never fear—we’ve already stitched up a solution! Inside your Kit 5 booklet, you’ll find a sticker with the correct instructions. Just peel and stick it right over the old text, and you’ll be good to go.

Your Digital PDF version will have the correct instructions available when you download it from the Clubs Hub.

What’s on the sticker:
Block 6 - Continued

(12 sts along each side, 3 ch-1 sps along each side, 1 ch-2 sp in each corner)

Rnd 12: With Color E, join in any corner ch-2 sp, ch 1, 3 sc in same ch-sp, working into BLO around, *sc in each of next 3 sts, [dc in center sk st below next ch-1 sp of Rnd 10, sc in each of next 3 sts] 3 times**, 3 sc in corner ch-2 sp;* rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join in beg sc. (72 sts total; 17 sts along each side, 1 sc in each corner)

Fasten off. ♥

Chart for Stripe 10

We thought that everyone would like a little visual for this pattern, so our team whipped up a chart! We’ve added this chart to the digital PDF download
